September 30th was a big day in our household, for it was the Sunday that we ended a six-year relationship at the church where we are members. We have found that even though you feel like God is leading you to take a stand--it doesn't make it any easier. Leaving (since we were the oddballs, so to speak) has been one of the most difficult things we've ever done as a couple. I would put it right after the whole immigration fiasco, and the dual deaths we experienced in 2002 and then again in 2005. This post has been a long time brewing. I have so much to say. With each Sunday that we visit and investigate a new church, and with each interesting person we meet, I kind of feel like I'm a part of a TV show and this mystery is unravelling with each step we take. Interesting! I picked these Nasturtium flower seeds out at Home Depot because (1) they were very pretty, (2) I liked the Empress of India name for the red ones, and (3) they were “buy one get one free” for Earth Day. I’d never even heard of them before. I bought a jewel mix and the Empress of India variety and when I looked them up, I found out they are also edible. They are like water cress (which is another thing I think I will plant). I have planted the Nasturtiums in the front yard along the path to the front door.
