Never Die
I was reminded this week about the pain associated with relationships, as I heard about a friend's breakup. I remembered a poem I wrote a long time ago and wanted to share it. This was written with so much emotion that I can barely stand to read it. I know that you, as the reader, might not feel the same. But my hope, as the writer, is that it would bring healing to any painful situation that surrounds you. As the poem states--keep on praying to the One who can heal those wounds. Never let your relationship with our loving heavenly Father die. He holds you in the palm of His hand. He knows each thought and captures every tear.
NEVER DIE
A warm tear
falls down my cheek
And melts the frozen
heart inside.
A cold wind
blows suddenly.
I smell the rain
and feel the chime.
Laughter fades
on bended knee.
I look to Him
to ease my mind --
As wounded soul
cries silently
And knows the dream
will never die.
NEVER DIE
A warm tear
falls down my cheek
And melts the frozen
heart inside.
A cold wind
blows suddenly.
I smell the rain
and feel the chime.
Laughter fades
on bended knee.
I look to Him
to ease my mind --
As wounded soul
cries silently
And knows the dream
will never die.
